Privacy policy.

Last updated August 23, 2026. This policy describes how JRK Financial collects, uses, and safeguards information from visitors and clients.

Who we are

JRK Financial (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services to small businesses. Our office is located at 6938 Elm Valley Drive Ste 206, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. This policy applies to information collected through www.jrkfinancial.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit a contact form, book a consultation, or otherwise reach out, we receive the information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the details of your message.

Secure Client Hub information. Invited client users may provide account identity details, onboarding acknowledgments and comments, and support-request messages. The Client Hub does not accept file attachments and should not be used to send Social Security numbers, bank credentials, tax documents, passwords, or authentication codes.

Automatically collected information. We use standard web analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how visitors use our site. This may include your IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, and referring URLs. Analytics cookies are used to measure site performance in aggregate.

Third-party services

Our website integrates a small set of third-party services:

  • Google Calendar Appointment Schedules — used on our Schedule page to book consultations. Bookings are processed by Google under Google's privacy terms.
  • Twilio Video — securely carries audio, video, and screen sharing for JRK Meetings. Meetings are not recorded by default; JRK retains limited meeting metadata such as attendance, time, duration, and outcome.
  • Google Analytics 4 — website usage measurement.
  • Supabase — authentication, multi-factor verification, access-controlled database services, and Client Hub audit records.
  • Lovable managed email — transactional invitations and notifications that intentionally omit confidential Client Hub content.
  • AI chat assistant — messages sent to our on-site assistant are processed by our AI provider (Lovable AI Gateway) and its model providers to generate responses. Do not include sensitive financial, tax, identity, account, credential, or payment information in chat.
  • Website and email service providers — support site delivery and delivery of contact-form notifications.

These services may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide the services you request.
  • To communicate with prospective and current clients.
  • To provide invitation-only onboarding, scheduling, and support workflows.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about your account — service notifications, document requests, filing and payroll deadline reminders, appointment confirmations, one-time verification codes for our client portal, and replies to messages you send us. Consent is collected through a separate, unchecked box on our client information form during onboarding, or noted in your client file when you tell us directly. Agreeing to text messages is never a condition of purchasing any service.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not include account balances, account numbers, or figures from your books in a text message. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, START to resume, or HELP for help.

Mobile numbers collected for text messaging are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and message content are shared only with the messaging providers who deliver our messages on our behalf. Full details are in our SMS Terms.

How we protect information

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted file sharing, secure cloud platforms, and access controls — to protect client information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.

Data retention

Contact-form submissions are delivered to our business mailbox and may remain there according to mailbox settings and business needs. Chat messages are processed by the providers described above, whose handling and retention are governed by their terms and configured settings. Retention of client records varies by engagement and record type. Revoked Client Hub memberships, publication history, and audit events may be retained to document access and security activity; clients may contact us with questions about a specific record.

Your choices

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We may be unable to delete information that must be kept for an active engagement, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business or compliance needs.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
